Tanner Leatherstein buys bags and cuts them apart to see what is inside. The Luna came out ahead of its price on leather, hardware and construction — and the same reviewer took apart Songmont's cheaper Chocolate bag and found it wanting. So this is a verdict on the Luna specifically, not a blanket endorsement of the brand.
The crescent — 月牙包 — is the silhouette Chinese bag design keeps returning to, and the Luna is its most copied version. Demand for Songmont's bags runs around 22,200 US searches a month and has held steady for eight months, so this is an established shape rather than a spike.

Worth knowing before you buy
The crescent is the shape doing the most work in Chinese bag design right now, and this is the version that survived being cut open. Six variants sit between the vegan-leather entry and the extra-large, which is a wider ladder than the shape usually gets.

Why it is worth knowing
The bag that started the brand
Songmont exists because Fu Song could not find a bag that would carry a 15-inch laptop and still look like something she wanted. Yore is the line that answers that original problem, so it is the one to look at if you need a bag that works for a commute rather than an evening.
US searches for Amazing Song's bags went from about 260 a month in December 2025 to about 1,900 by June 2026 — roughly sevenfold in half a year, and the sharpest rise of any label MEI tracks. This is the one entry here that is genuinely moving right now.

Search for whether the brand is any good and the best answer available is a Reddit thread asking that same question. Buyers found this label well before anyone documented it, which is worth knowing before you order.

Worth knowing before you buy
The fastest-moving label in MEI's coverage and the least documented. Read the returns terms before ordering: the brand's refund policy and its FAQ give different windows, and MEI has not been able to reconcile them.
Prices were read on 2026-08-15 at each brand's own shop, and they are the figures shown to a shopper in the United States. These stores quote different prices in different countries, so check the shop before ordering — and expect duty on arrival, which is not included in any figure here.
